Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. Doody made her acting debut in a Bond film called A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989, she played an archaeologist with Nazi sympathies Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody started modeling after being invited by a professional photographer. This led to an impressive career as a commercial model. Doody did not wear glamour, nudity and thongs in her modelling career. She was cast in a minor role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after she was spotted by the casting director. Doody was named as one of the 12 most promising new Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody is only 18 at the time she played Doody in the film A Prayer to the Dying (1987) with Mickey Rourke. She is the tiniest Bond girl to be seen. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she portrayed IRA members Siobhan Doovan. Doody was a silent actress in a 1987 film adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress starred alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as a archaeologist for forensics in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody has acted alongside three actors that have played James Bond. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal she was later chosen to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody who was absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, came back in 2003 to take on a tiny part on the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character in a scene at an awards ceremony. She also appeared in 2004 with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 publication about the Holocaust. Doody filming a character in the film of Danny Dyer, The Rapture. She was also set to take on the role of lead on The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled. Her first two seasons of The E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was given to her on the 21st of November in 2018. She also received an award on the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
