Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was aware that she was gifted in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first race, Felix finished second in the 200 meters race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from her high school education and was signed to an official contract for Adidas. In 2004, she was enrolled at an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s, setting an all-time junior world record. Felix was also the youngest winner of the 200-meter race during the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record the following year, defeating the long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third in each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
